Why they are called RyanSCARE!!

Six crew and 116 passengers used emergency chutes to leave the Ryanair flight to Agadir, Morocco, which returned to Liverpool, at 1600 GMT.

A warning light had activated but engineers have checked the aircraft and confirmed there was no fire.

The airport was closed for about an hour. No-one was injured.

The scare happened shortly after flight FR4021 took off.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said fire crews were searching the plane for any signs of a fire with thermal imaging equipment.

A replacement aircraft will take the passengers to Agadir and is scheduled to leave at 1830 GMT.

A spokesman for the Ryanair said: "A faulty indicator light is the suspected cause of this turn-back.

He added: "Ryanair apologises for any inconvenience, but the safety of our passengers and crew will always be the number one priority."
